The Xala is an invention by Ania Losinger, which was developed twenty years ago and found its way onto the stage. The complete Xala collection – from the first prototypes to the current instrument – will be set up in the Orbital Garden and can/should be touched and tried out. Videos and photographic material document not only the development of the Xala but also projects that included this instrument. Ania Losinger, who plays this unique sounding board and the instrument maker Hamper von Niederhäusern will be present and look forward to your visit. At 6.30 pm the artist will be interviewed by Alexandra von Arx and Don Li, and will answer questions from the audience, telling anecdotes and revealing secrets.
